About the Documentary

The first installment in this documentary series examines the crime scenes hidden between the lines of history. It reveals the systematic role that each state played in America’s tragic but true story of Native American extermination.

From the writings of the hallowed halls of the Vatican to inaugural speeches from the steps of California’s first State Assembly, “Exterminate Them!”The California Story explores not only what happened to the indigenous peoples of the Americas, but how and why it happened — looking beyond the borders of California and beyond the borders of the United States to the Native 1st Peoples of Alaska, Canada, Mexico, and Central and South America.
